Voyantic is growing and we are now looking for a (Jr.) Software Engineer to join our R&D team! For the most part, our work concentrates on the development and maintenance of RFID test and measurement software. Our solutions integrate a wide spectrum of technologies which means that you get to play with various different devices and platforms. Our projects are often extensive and have to do with developing functionalities, for instance. Most of the programming is done using LabVIEW and LabVIEW Real-Time, but previous knowledge of some OOP language (like Python or C++, for example) also gets you started. We can provide you with an introduction to LabVIEW, so previous experience with it is not necessary even though it is highly appreciated.

You would start your career at Voyantic as a software engineer in the maintenance program of our current products in our agile development team. Once you get started, you will have a chance to expand and develop your role according to your own wishes and interests and take more responsibility in the design of our products. We are also constantly looking for new ways to work and think as RFID technology evolves. This is a great opportunity to deepen your professional knowledge and adopt new skills!

We appreciate passion towards programming and trying out new things, and a customer-oriented way of thinking is seen as an advantage. Also, knowledge of electronics, sensors and automation technology as well as technical hobbies and project-work experience are of your advantage. You don’t have to be a professional developer yet, but we are looking for someone who has got the willingness and attitude to deepen his/her skills in software development. Should you already have previous working experience, we have the challenges awaiting and we are also eager to learn from you! 

Requirements for the applicant:

  • Relevant educational background, e.g. a Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, electrical engineering, or automation engineering
  • Good skills in LabVIEW or interest to learn LabVIEW programming
  • Analytical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt and learn new things fast
  • Fluent English skills, both written and spoken (Finnish not necessary)

  • Familiarity or interest in radio technology and RFID
