Roima Intelligence’s Process Business Area is looking for a Machine Vision Specialist to strengthen the team of professionals. In this role you will work as a part of a Roima’s project team in varying industrial customer projects. Typical projects include designing, implementing and configuring targeted full stack machine vision solutions to improve customers’ operative quality and control. Customers range from small and medium sized companies to global giants operating mostly in the manufacturing industry.

As an ideal candidate you have a great interest and at least some experience in machine vision-projects preferably in industrial environments. You may have gathered your skills in roles or projects with a focus on machine vision, data engineering and/or software development. A relevant study degree from University or University of Applied Sciences is seen as beneficial. The position requires basic coding/database skills with C#, Python, SQL, HTML or similar languages. Furthermore, skills with machine vision/learning related tools such as Halcon, TwinCAT, Tensorflow and OpenCV are seen as an advantage. As a person we hope you have a customer-oriented mindset and willingness to work as an active part of a team.

Primarily we are looking for a person who already has some years of relevant experience but if you are still on the junior side in terms of your experience, we would also be happy to hear about your skills and motivation to learn more and work in Roima’s team. Therefore, your final role can be adapted according to your strengths and interests for example towards machine learning, UI development, image processing or industrial automation.

We are looking for a person with:

  • Experience in software development, data engineering or machine vision/learning projects
  • Basic understanding and skills with Python, C#, SQL,HTML5 or equivalent technologies. Further Machine vision/learning skills utilizing such tools as TwinCAT, Halcon, OpenCV or TensorFlow are of benefit.
  • Fluent English language skills. Finnish language skills are seen as an advantage
  • True team-player mindset with willingness to build long-term, value-adding partnerships with our customers

In this position you will be employed directly by Roima Intelligence. Roima’s Machine Vision professionals in Finland are located in the Espoo office. However we have great remote working possibilities and as long as you have a readiness to visit the Espoo office when necessary, you may choose a location in Finland that suits you the best.
