Sova3D Oy is a company founded 2015, but still has a more than 20 years’ experience on software development and BIM models & GIS. Sova3D main mission is to develop 3D map web applications for collaborative town planning, building permission handling and construction project visualisation. Our main partner and one of the owners is Terrasolid, with whom we share the “point cloud intelligence” thinking. Sova3D is now looking for a Software Developer to join their small but innovative and efficient development team of three to work with client projects. Your job as a Software Developer would include working with Building Permission application development, IFC- model manipulations, 3D map development issues, GUI, etc.

The technologies we are using are Java, Javascript, HTML, CSS, Python, C++ and C#. In this position you are mainly using Java for backend and JavaScript, HTML and CSS for frontend so familiarity with these programming languages is required. You will get support in the beginning but independency is required, and we hope you can take responsibility and meet the deadlines to achieve the common goals. Ultimately we are looking for an enthusiastic programmer who wants to improve his/her skills in our professional yet easy-going team. We also appreciate a hobbyist background and completed personal projects. This is a full-time and permanent position and you will be employed directly to Sova3D.

What we are looking for:

  • Educational background from IT-field
  • Good skills of Java and JavaScript, CSS and HTML (e.g. from studies, personal projects or work projects)
  • Understanding of 3D graphics programming and WebGL/Three.js,
  • Knowledge of Linux and SQL databases
  • Motivation to learn and independent working style
  • Proficiency in English

We consider as an asset:

  • Python, C++, C# and/or typescript skills
  • Skills in Finnish and/or other European languages
