Would you be interested in driving large-scale data center EPC-projects from planning to commissioning in a fast-developing expert team?

What will you be doing?

As a Construction Manager at Polarnode, you will take ownership of EPC (engineering, procurement, construction) data center project delivery, initially with a focus on electrical scope and later expanding across broader construction areas. You will be responsible for coordinating projects from execution planning all the way to commissioning and handover, ensuring timelines, quality, and collaboration across all stakeholders.

You will work closely with the Head of Procurement and Construction, acting as their key partner in driving project delivery forward. In practice, your role is about managing the whole: participating in the procurement phase, coordinating contractors, suppliers, and design partners, while ensuring that each phase progresses smoothly.

Your work will involve regular site visits across Finland, as well as close collaboration with internal and external experts. As projects evolve from early planning phases to execution, your responsibilities will grow accordingly.

We require you to have:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or other relevant field
• Several years of experience in electrical or industrial project management
• Good understanding of high-voltage (HV) or electrical systems
• Ability to independently manage projects and take ownership of outcomes
• Full working proficiency in English and Finnish

We consider as an asset:

• Experience in substation construction or similar infrastructure projects
• Previous experience in EPC project environments
• Experience in leading the partner network

Practicalities:

This is a full-time and permanent position, and you will be employed directly by Polarnode. The role is based in Helsinki, with a hybrid working model. Start time in the role is negotiable.
