We at Häggblom & Partners are searching for an ambitious Analyst to join our team in Helsinki. We expect you to have courage to join our M&A and strategic advisory projects from early on but expertise and support of colleagues is always available. Along the way, you will join diverse projects related to mergers and acquisitions and financial advisory in forest industry. Your daily tasks will include, for example, working in compact project teams producing business and financial analysis and transaction memos.  As you contribute on project success you will have an excellent position to develop as professional in an international environment.

To succeed in this role, you should be a confident communicator in English, both written and oral. We expect that you are able to work under pressure and you are willing to take ownership of your duties. Presentation skills and confidency to take responsibility on your own initiative are important in this role. You do not have to have previous experience of forest industry sector, but we guarantee you will gather expertise as you develop in this position. Primarily we are looking for a graduate who can work full hours, but it is possible to discuss part-time employment (minimum 25 h / week) in the beginning if you are finishing your studies.

Requirements for the applicants:

  • Relevant educational background, i.e. a Master’s degree in a relevant academic field such as Finance (you may also apply if you’re in the final stage of your studies)
  • Strong skills with Office tools such as Excel and Powerpoint
  • Fluent written and oral English
  • Analytical mindset
  • Ability to work in an international environment.
  • Willingness to travel

  • Previous relevant working experience, for example in the field of consulting, analytics or finance
  • Fluent skills in other languages such as Finnish, Swedish, or Spanish
  • Knowledge or experience of forest industry
