AMETEK Finland is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as our Junior Process Engineer at our Finland unit that currently locates at Espoo.

What will you be doing?

You as our new Jr Process Engineer will work closely with our engineers and production to maintain process capabilities, work on process development projects and troubleshoot on process or technical issues as they would arise. You will support our detector cover production helping senior Engineering and over time carry the responsibilities independently. You will also actively contribute to upholding top-notch production quality and readily engage in various manufacturing tasks where required. As our Junior Process Engineer, you will be part of a diverse team of experts. The team around you will offer the support and encouragement necessary for your success. In this role we require from the employee a proactive attitude and ability to handle multiple tasks and keep projects running at the same time.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Preventative Maintenance for radiation detector manufacturing equipment’s
  • Detector cover production support
  • Process and equipment development
  • Identification of process improvement ideas through troubleshooting and observing the process
  • Maintain process equipment compliance for regulatory, EHS and corporate requirements
  • Process documentation
  • Maintain good practices for change management through planning, processing and reporting process validations
  • Drive cost improvements by improving yield and making scrap and failure analyses

We require you to: 

  • Relevant educational background, such as a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automation or Process Engineering
  • Some prior hands-on experience beyond studies — for example from internships, thesis projects, or about a year of post-graduation work experience in production, maintenance, or R&D assembly
  • Practical familiarity with CAD modeling, ideally with Inventor or another CAD software
  • You have an eye for details and a structured and disciplined working style
  • You enjoy working on tasks that require good manual dexterity but can handle multiple priorities at the same time
  • Good practical technical skills to develop and maintain process equipment’s
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a diverse team environment
  • Have a full working proficiency in English

 We consider as an asset:

  • Experience in semiconductor wafer processing or testing of semiconductor components
  • Earlier work experience in similar tasks in a laboratory environment or similar
  • Skills of soldering and electrical assembly as well experience in handling oscilloscope, multimeter and similar tools
  • Experience on maintaining and creating process documentation

Practicalities:

This is a full-time and permanent position. You will be employed  directly to AMETEK Finland. The role will be located in Espoo, and we hope you are able to work at our facilities every day. In our workplace, we require our team members to undergo a substance test and pass a background check as part of our safety protocols. Salary is according to our practices and is also depending on the level of your experience, this will be negotiated individually.
