Combient FoundryVenture Client Business Developer

Combient Foundry is now looking for a Venture Client Business Developer to join their growing team of professionals - could it be you?

As a Venture Client Business Developer, you are responsible for driving development work with our partnering companies. The goal is to ensure the success of individual projects between selected business units and startups, as well as develop long-term venturing strategies.

In other words, you would play a key role in bringing top startups and the needs of industrial companies together in a structured, result-oriented way. You will need to combine your excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical skills to thrive in the global, fast-paced startup environment and complex industrial world. This role requires grasping new large abstract concepts fast, breaking them into smaller understandable pieces, and demonstrating exceptional project management skills.

Your daily tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Working side-by-side with corporate venturing and innovation teams from 1-2 global, large industrial companies to shape and execute their venturing strategy in a result-oriented way that scales and creates value

  • Driving subject-matter expertise and business development projects with multinational and diverse teams within the companies you work with

  • Engaging with the global startup ecosystem, analyzing and vetting startup deal flow, and synthesizing solution space according to predetermined business needs

  • Taking part in developing our methodology to ensure scalability of Foundry operations across the globe.

This is a full-time, permanent position, and we hope you will be ready to start in the role as soon as possible, latest during the end of the year 2022. You are free to work flexibly remotely, but we hope you are willing to work at the Helsinki office regularly and especially during onboarding.

You might be the talent we are looking for if you have:

  • Relevant educational background - you are curious to constantly learn new areas

  • Gained at least two years of suitable experience - you have been working e.g. in consultancy, account management, or project management before

  • Proactive problem-solving mindset and an entrepreneurial drive - you constantly seek for getting things done better than before

  • High standards – your ambition level is never too low and you always aim to deliver the best customer experience

  • Exceptional project management skills – you understand dependencies between tasks and can provide what is agreed on time

  • Strong analytical skills – you can independently synthesize unstructured information clearly and concisely

  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English – you are working with executives of large industrials as well as startup founders and integral part is to tailor your message for different stakeholders

We consider as an asset:

  • Previous experience from the startup ecosystem

  • Proficiency in Finnish, Swedish, German, French, or Mandarin
