ElcogenAutomation Engineer

A leading European solid oxide fuel cell manufacturer Elcogen is now looking for a motivated Automation Engineer to join their growing team!

As an Automation Engineer, your main task is to program, commission, and maintain Elcogen’s production equipment - including conditioning stations, printing lines, and assembly automation - in the existing factory in Vantaa and in the upcoming factory in Tallinn. In the future, you can also take part in developing test equipment automation. More specifically, your diverse tasks will include:

• Programming and implementation of automation systems for production and testing purposes

• Commissioning and qualification of the new automated equipment in Finland and in Estonia

• Troubleshooting automated processes or equipment

• Communicating with equipment and system suppliers

• Maintaining automation hardware, software and interfaces

As an Automation Engineer, you work in close collaboration with different stakeholders, so we hope you have good communication and collaboration skills. You may be a freshly graduated Automation Engineer looking to start your career, or you may already have gained relevant working experience - either way, we hope you are willing to learn, you have good problem-solving skills and you pay attention to detail. Since Elcogen is a small yet dynamic and growing company, we also value a positive can-do attitude and a development-oriented mindset.

We hope you have at least the following qualities:

• Relevant educational background , such as a M.Sc.. in Automation Engineering or B.Sc. with some work experience

• Familiarity with process automation

• Programming skills including automation systems

• Good skills in written and spoken English; skills in Finnish are seen as an asset

We consider as an asset :

• Applicable working experience - background in electrical installation is also seen as a plus

• Experience in commissioning of automation systems

• Understanding of process equipment such as sensors, actuators, and other hardware

You will be based in Elcogen’s office at Vantaa, with partial opportunities for remote work. Since Elcogen’s upcoming factory locates in Tallinn, we hope you have readiness for occasional traveling.
