GlucoModicum Oy is a medical technology start-up based in Helsinki. Their multinational team consists of scientists with backgrounds in the University of Helsinki, Åbo Akademi, Harvard, Stanford, and Moscow State University. GlucoModicum has developed a novel technology related to needle-free Glucose monitoring. Their innovation and technology have raised significant interest, and they have on-going engagement with high impact global MedTech players in Europe, Asia and US. Their technology development is protected by an international patent portfolio.

 

GlucoModicum is making strong progress in their R&D, and now they are looking for a talented Electronic Engineer to join their development team to accelerate the development of their multidisciplinary research, especially their prototype. In this position your main responsibilities consist of designing, fabricating and testing electronic circuits. This work will be crucial for the creation of a prototype to be tested in clinical trials and ultimately, the development of a revolutionary product in the field of health-tech. Your role is to make it ready for market-launch. As an Electronic Engineer, you will participate in instrumentation of biosensors, signal processing and microcontroller programming using Python or Java, utilise Matlab in data analysis, and engage in CAD design. Additionally, you will be taking the process to the next level in participating in the actual prototype building in the laboratory.

We look for:

  • Studies in a relevant field (such as Electronic Engineering or Bioelectronics)
  • Hands on experience in analog signal processing
  • Understanding of PCB design, fabrication and assemble
  • Basic skills in CAD design
  • Basic understanding in programming (for example Python, Java, C++/C# or Matlab)
  • Fluent verbal and written English
