FA Solutions, a leading provider of Wealth and Asset Management software solutions, is now looking for a Senior Technical Writer!

What will you be doing?

As a Senior Technical Writer, you will take responsibility for writing, editing, and updating selected documentation areas — improving existing content and creating new materials from scratch. You will produce and update external documentation and release notes for users, administrators, and developers, as well as internal documents for consultants and review UI texts.

You will collaborate closely with a Lead Technical Writer, Product Owners, UX, developers, and testers. Your work also involves interviewing subject-matter experts, coordinating documentation timelines, and researching and testing the product yourself. You’ll also have room to propose improvements that shape how documentation and related processes evolve.

What makes you a great fit?

You enjoy explaining complex concepts clearly and can independently drive documentation work forward. You are comfortable asking questions, interviewing experts, and challenging unclear details. You also have a genuine interest in software products and the wealth/asset management domain.

We require you to have:

• Several years (5–8+) of experience in technical writing within a software industry
• Ability to summarize complex topics and create clear and organized texts
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and consistency
• Good communication skills and confidence in interviewing subject-matter experts
• Interest in asset / wealth management and ability to learn about them
• A full working proficiency in English

We consider as an asset:

• Understanding of software development processes and tools (e.g. Git, Jira)
• Experience with HTML, CSS, or DocBook/XML-based documentation
• Visual or graphic design skills
• Familiarity with asset/wealth management processes

Practicalities:

This is a full-time and permanent position, in which you will be employed directly to FA Solutions. The ideal starting date is as soon as possible. The company’s office is located in Helsinki, but it's possible to work entirely remotely in this role – preferably from Finland.
