A hands-on role where you’ll shape the automation architecture of next-generation deep geothermal drilling machines and turn ideas into reality.
Key responsibilities
In this role, you will take ownership of Geocadia’s automation architecture and lead the development of machine automation, including software, process logic and component selection. You work at the intersection of software, hydraulics, electrics and real machine behaviour to ensure reliable and safe performance in demanding field conditions. You collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic design teams, support procurement and manufacturing, and participate in commissioning, troubleshooting and on-site customer interactions when needed.
A significant part of your work is spent on-site with machines and operators, gathering feedback, understanding real-world behaviour and translating it into clear requirements and improvements. You document system changes and design decisions professionally and act as a lead for automation work when additional resources or external partners are involved.
What makes you a great fit?
You understand how mobile machinery behaves and how hydraulic, mechanical and automation components interact. You enjoy hands-on work, exploring how the machine truly functions and turning those insights into clear requirements, structured software and robust system architecture. You communicate well, document decisions clearly and are motivated by developing long-term solutions.
