IfBusiness Controller

If, the largest insurance company in the Nordics, is now looking for a Business Controller for a fixed-term position until the end of March 2027. The role combines finance business partnering with a broad and varied responsibility scope.

What will you be doing?

As the Business Controller you will be an active member of both the Commercial Finland Central Management team and Commercial Finland Sales & Service Management. You will work closely with the business and will have a vital role in providing insights by analyzing and linking financial results to business, guide and challenge decisions and ensure our strategies are aligned with our financial goals.

You will have a key role in analyzing the results, delivering forward-looking analysis and insights to predict trends, and to secure business performance and stability in financial results. Additionally, you will also manage processes like monthly and quarterly business review, financial plan / forecasting, competitor analysis and involvement in various projects.

You will report to the Head of Business & Financial control and be part of a Nordic team of highly skilled and talented controllers, where we share knowledge and ideas to continuously stay ahead and help each other succeed along the way.

More specifically we hope you have:

• A relevant academic / university degree
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Ability to translate data and analysis into solid insights and recommendations
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• knowledge of MS Office and BI tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau or think-cell
• A full working proficiency in Finnish and English

Practicalities:

This is a full-time and fixed term position until the end of March 2027, in which you will be employed directly at If. The ideal starting date is as soon as possible / February 2026. You may work from either our Espoo or Turku office, following our hybrid work model with three days per week spent at the office.
