Northern Horizon is looking for an ambitious and proactive Asset Manager for the Helsinki office.
Northern Horizon manages two funds that invest into care properties in the Nordic countries and currently the portfolio consists of more than 70 properties. As an Asset Manager, your primary focus is to ensure the smooth operation of the portfolio and making sure that all our counterparties are happy.
The responsibilities include:
Coordinating and taking part in property management processes, such as lease agreement renewal, building and tenant supervision, refurbishment, repair, warranty inspections, invoice queries, claim management and budget control
Leading property management partners and steering group meetings
Performing administrative and governance related tasks linked to assets
Coordinating real estate development projects and strategies
Building relations with property managers and other partners in Denmark, Sweden, Finland, etc.
Developing and implementing ESG strategy
Assisting in the acquisition process from LOI until closing providing support in tenancy and real estate aspects and supporting the investment team in monitoring external parties like technical experts, and valuators
Participating in developing new housing concepts aimed for seniors
As an Asset Manager, you will be based in Helsinki but travel actively in Finland and other Nordic countries where the assets are located. You will be part of a cross-border team that works closely together on investments in and development of the portfolio to ensure long-term capital growth for our investors. You will report directly to the Fund Manager and will collaborate with Transaction teams in Copenhagen, Stockholm and Helsinki as well as Group Support, Control, and Administration functions located in Vilnius.
Requirements:
A relevant degree, e.g. real estate economics or business
At least 3 years real estate experience, preferably in asset management within a fund, or having experience in managing a big real estate assets portfolio
A commercial mind-set with a dynamic and outgoing personality
Good MS Office skills and understanding of financial analysis
Good knowledge of real asset management technologies
Strong business communication skills with fluency in English and Finnish
Assets:
Swedish or Danish language skills
Experience with residential assets / community building
