Are you interested in developing the PLC automation that powers complex, customer-specific industrial machines? At Prima Power, you can work hands-on with systems used by leading manufacturers worldwide.
What will you be doing?
As a PLC Automation Engineer, you will work on automation design and PLC programming for highly customised piece-handling machines used in global customer environments. Your role focuses on developing and commissioning TwinCAT-based control systems that integrate motion control, servo drives, frequency converters and industrial sensors.
You will join a ten-person PLC automation engineering department and be assigned to one of three specialised teams focusing on punching machines, material-handling robots, or warehouse automation systems. Each team has an experienced lead engineer who supports knowledge sharing, problem solving and the development of new features for upcoming customer projects.
Your work is closely tied to practical machine development: you collaborate weekly with mechanical and electrical design, documentation, production and installation support teams, see the machines physically in production and test systems extensively in-house before delivery. Most of your work relates to customer-specific projects, and you will occasionally visit customer sites abroad for testing or fine-tuning.
What makes you a great fit?
You already have solid experience in industrial automation and enjoy solving technical challenges in complex environments. You feel confident working with PLC logic in TwinCAT, motion control, and real machine behaviour. You take initiative, communicate well with colleagues from different engineering disciplines, and enjoy having ownership in projects. You are eager to further develop your expertise and take on increasingly demanding automation systems.
