Python Backend Developer

MyGamez Finland Oy is part of the Finnish-Chinese MyGamez Group and our team in Finland is responsible for the development of MyGamez publishing technology and supporting our customer’s technical teams.

MyGamez is looking for a Backend Developer to join their small and agile development team. In this role you will participate in a full cycle of server-side development and maintenance of MyGamez’s SDK, working with other developers in the team. The tech-stack includes for example Python (including FastAPI, Django and Flask frameworks), SQL, NoSQL, Docker, Kubernetes and microservices. In addition you will get to work and develop your skills in a varied range of cool technologies we use such as Terraform, Consul, AWS, to name a few.

Your main responsibilities would include:

  • Design, maintain and improve our internal tools and services.
  • Build efficient Backend features in Python.
  • Prepare technical documentation.
  • Implement security and data protection solutions.
  • Write effective, scalable code.

Requirements

  • Professional experience with Python programming language.
  • Ability to write well-designed, efficient, and testable code.
  • Experience in designing and implementing effective APIs.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent English language skills

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Nomad, etc.)
  • Experience with GNU/Linux operating system.
  • Experience with different types of database engines (SQL, NoSQL, etc.)
  • Experience with FastAPI, Django and/or Flask (Python frameworks)

In this position you will be employed directly by MyGamez. During COVID restrictions this is a remote role. The candidate should be based in Finland, as we do not offer relocation.
