Ritchie Bros.Software Test Engineer (Java & Selenium)

Ritchie Bros., the world’s largest auctioneer of commercial assets and vehicles, is now looking for a Software Test Engineer to join their Mascus team – a key part of RB Global’s product family!

Key responsibilities

As a Software Test Engineer, you will join Mascus’ international development team and work in a small, collaborative group focused on enhancing and maintaining the inventory management system, as well as developing the new webshop platform. The team consists of skilled professionals working together to deliver and evolve Mascus’ digital platforms.

In this role, you will contribute to the quality and reliability of both platforms by taking ownership of Mascus’ Java/Selenium-based automation testing framework, designing and executing automation tests, and performing targeted manual testing. You will follow modern testing practices and use version control, CI/CD, and test management tools to organise and track your work. In addition, you will collaborate with developers, QA peers, and product owners to ensure smooth and high-quality releases, participate in team discussions, contribute your ideas, and gradually take on more responsibility as your skills grow.

We hope you have: 

• At least a couple of years of professional experience in software testing
• Strong skills in Java and Selenium for automation testing
• Experience with manual testing (feature validation, regression, exploratory testing)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitHub-based workflows
• Full professional proficiency in English

 We consider as an asset:

• Experience with e-commerce or marketplace platforms
• Exposure to load testing tools such as k6
• Understanding of C#, React, or similar programming languages

Practicalities:

In this full-time and permanent position, you will be employed directly by Ritchie Bros. The start time in the role is as soon as possible. You can work remotely, but we hope you are able to visit the Helsinki office a couple of times per month to meet your team and colleagues.  As you will be working with the US-based teams and projects, we hope you have the flexibility to participate in meetings at around 5-7 pm Finnish time when needed.  The base salary in this position ranges between 3500-4000 €/month and will be negotiated individually.
