Neagen Oy is a software company developing competitive and standardized high-technology products for medical imaging. Neagen Oy was established in 2002 by a medical image processing research group in the University of Oulu and Oulu University Hospital. We work closely with a wide spectrum of clinicians and other specialists to enable continuous improvement of our products.

 

We are now looking for a Software Developer to join Neagen’s talented and professional development team! At Neagen, your main focus as a Software Developer is to participate in developing new features to our existing products as well as updating them. We are also continuously in our quest to create new. Our development work concentrates on our medical imaging software that enables more precise diagnostics of 2D, 3D and 4D medical images. We also provide a web-based image viewing solution (here we use JavaScript, CSS, and HTML) and a imaging production control and archiving systems. What we do is unique in Finland, and your work at Neagen is strongly connected to providing healthcare organizations with better operational solutions.

The person we are looking for is enthusiastic about programming and already has some previous working experience. We value analytical problem-solving skills, independent and forward-looking thinking, and the ability and willingness to communicate one’s own visions. We use scrum methods in our development work, and we have a good selection of libraries and platforms at your disposal.

Requirements for the applicant:

  • Previous working experience with programming
  • Strong programming skills using JavaScript and C++ or Java
  • Analytical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with the team as well as independently
  • Fluent English skills (Finnish not necessary)
