Tesseract, a leading Finnish digital asset investment company, is looking for a precise and proactive Controller to join their finance team in Helsinki.

Key responsibilities

Your role is a combination of business and financial controlling, so your tasks will be diverse, including both the internal and external perspective of financial management and reporting. You will support the company’s growth, regulatory compliance and reporting, and investment operations through robust financial reporting and data management. The typical tasks in the role will include:

• financial reporting: preparing and presenting monthly financial statements and cash flow analysis to senior management and other stakeholders
• budgeting and forecasting: developing and updating annual budgets and financial forecasts to support strategic planning and decision making
• client reporting: preparing and distributing reports on the performance of the company’s loan & investment portfolios to clients
• financial process improvement: introducing enhancements and internal controls to further streamline and ensure the integrity of financial data and processes
• key contributor to annual audits for all group companies in coordination with the external accountant and auditor
• accounts payable and receivable: monthly invoicing of clients (crypto institutions), managing accounts payable and tax related matters (most tasks conducted by external accountant)

Requirements:

• 2+ years of relevant experience, e.g. controlling, financial reporting, audit
• Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or similar
• Strong skills in Excel, and familiarity with financial reporting and accounting principles
• Willingness to work hands-on and take ownership across a broad range of responsibilities
• Great collaboration and problem solving skills. You’re capable of working both independently and as part of a team
• Full working proficiency in English

Considered as an asset:

• Full working proficiency in Finnish
• Knowledge of financial processes in regulated environments (e.g. banks, audit, investment firms)
• Experience in crypto and/or other financial services
• Experience with tools like Procountor, Access, and Power BI

Practicalities:

This is a full-time and permanent position, and you will be employed by Tesseract. Starting time is within Autumn 2025, and you will work at the Helsinki office preferably 4-5 days per week. Salary in this position is approximately 4000-5000 €/month, and will be negotiated individually depending on your experience. The compensation package may also include the possibility of performance-based bonuses and participation in the company's stock option plan.
