Urban Partners is looking for a Financial Controller for a fixed-term leave cover from April to August 2026. You’ll join the highly skilled and international Group Finance team, with strong expertise based in Helsinki and close collaboration across the Nordics and Europe.

Key responsibilities

As a Financial Controller, you will focus on controlling a portfolio of legal entities in Urban Partners group and ensuring the quality of accounting prepared by external service providers. You will participate in financial operations and reporting obligations, coordinate month-end activities, and collaborate closely with stakeholders across countries, with a particular focus on Danish legal entities.

Main tasks include:

• Controlling the financial administration and accounting of the parent company and Danish group entities
• Guiding the accounting service provider and ensuring high-quality deliverables
• Coordinating month-end close according to agreed timelines together with the team and partners
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external advisors across countries
• Preparing tax and statutory reporting
• Ensuring the accuracy of income statement and balance sheet figures and adherence to agreed processes

What makes you a great fit

You are an experienced finance professional who understands how reliable financial reporting is maintained. You are comfortable taking ownership and coordinating with external service providers. Previous hands-on experience in bookkeeping is appreciated. You work in a structured and analytical way, communicate clearly in English, and enjoy contributing as part of an international Group Finance team.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in financial controlling and/or bookkeeping
• Relevant higher educational degree in accounting, finance or a related field
• Good understanding of VAT
• Good written and spoken English skills
• Organised, proactive, and development-oriented working style
• Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel

Additional assets

• Experience in an international environment
• Experience working with an accounting service provider
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Danish language skills and experience with Danish accounting
• Finnish language skills

Practicalities

This is a full-time, fixed-term position covering a leave from April to August 2026, with a preferred start at the beginning of April. You will be employed as a leased employee by aTalent at Urban Partners. The role is based at Urban Partner’s office in central Helsinki, and we expect you to work mainly at the office, especially during onboarding. Salary in this position is approximately 4000–5000 €/month, depending on your experience, and is negotiated individually.
