Wärtsilä Energy Storage is hiring a Sourcing Specialist – join the Sourcing team and grow your skills in supplier collaboration and energy technology!

Key responsibilities

As a Sourcing Specialist, you will join Wärtsilä Energy Storage’s Sourcing team to support supplier management and operational sourcing activities, particularly in the area of electrical and thermal components. This role emphasizes daily sourcing operations and collaboration with suppliers. You will play a key role in maintaining supplier data, gathering and analyzing information, and supporting sourcing-related decision-making.

You will collaborate closely with the sourcing manager and engage with a wide range of stakeholders across Wärtsilä’s energy storage supply chain as well as global suppliers. This position offers an opportunity to deepen your expertise in energy technologies and international supply chain operations.

We hope you have some experience in sourcing or supply chain operations. We require you to have:

• Educational background in engineering, industrial management, or a relevant field
• Previous work experience in sourcing or supply chain roles
• Solid Excel skills and hands-on experience with SAP or other ERP systems
• Strong communication skills in English

We consider as an asset:

• Previous experience working in the energy sector or industrial environment
• Understanding of electrical components and their role in sourcing

Practicalities:

This is a full-time and fixed-term position for 12 months, where you will join Wärtsilä Energy Storage as aTalent’s employee. We hope you are available to start as soon as possible. The preferred location for this role is Turku, Finland, where the team is primarily based. However, you may also work primarily from our Vaasa or Helsinki offices in a hybrid model.
