Your role with us

As an Electronics Test Engineer, you will be part of international projects focused on developing reliable electronics for demanding space environments. Your work will revolve around hands-on testing, laboratory measurements, and analysis of electronics designed for ASRO’s projects. Depending on your skills and the project’s stage, your role may also include supporting electronic design and development work.

ASRO is currently focusing on several key areas:

  • Space weather monitoring – Our instruments enable precise radiation condition tracking in space.
  • Biological research in space – We support life science experiments with miniaturized fluorescence microscopes.
  • Dosimeter development – Enhancing astronaut safety during crewed space missions.

Your first tasks will involve the development of New Space instruments for radiation monitoring and biological research, in collaboration with the European Space Agency and other space sector clients. These instruments will be used on the International Space Station and in other space exploration missions.

Working in a small and agile company means your role can be adapted to your skills and interests. Whether you’d like to focus on lab testing or also contribute to design and development, we’re eager to hear what excites you most.

What makes you a great fit?

You are a hands-on problem solver with a strong understanding of electronics fundamentals. You thrive in a laboratory environment, using testing equipment and analyzing results to ensure the highest quality standards.

We hope you have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field (or in the final stages of studies)
  • Understanding of electronics and circuit design fundamentals
  • Experience with laboratory measurements and instrumentation
  • Ability to document and interpret test results clearly
  • Proactive, hands-on mindset and team collaboration skills
  • Full professional proficiency in English - skills in Finnish are considered an advantage.

Additionally, we value:

  • Experience with soldering and hardware debugging
  • Knowledge of LabVIEW or similar tools
  • Familiarity with electronics testing in a production or R&D environment
  • Strong enthusiasm for electronics and technology
