DAIN Studios is now looking for a startup-minded Data Engineer to its growing team. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible – with the help of more experienced colleagues – for providing technical solutions to solve business issues through the use and support of (big) data. You will implement and design databases or Big Data environments to facilitate the design, development and delivery of statistical and predictive models for client projects. Your work consists of building high-performance algorithms, prototypes, predictive models and proof of concepts. You consult with senior business leaders and data scientists to translate business goals into highly scalable data management systems. Your working style is proactive and you flourish in a rapidly changing environment.

Dain Studios believes in trusting their employees to work in a way that suits them best.

We look for the following, but most of all want to find someone with the right mindset for self-development:

  • Master’s/PhD degree in computer science or a related field
  • Big Data skills, for example with R, Python, Scala, Spark or Java
  • SQL and NoSQL skills and database understanding
  • Knowledge in cloud computing
  • Good communication and presentation skills in English and Finnish

We see as an advantage:

  • Previous work experience in relevant field
  • Fluency in German
