TX is now looking for a DevOps Developer to reinforce the team and take the DevOps lead of our projects. This is a new, unique role that offers you an opportunity to adjust it according to your skills and interests – you could either fully focus on DevOps, or work as a developer alongside your DevOps tasks.

You will join a team of developers working on customer projects, one being a disruptive Streamr project building a world-first decentralised pub-sub network. You will focus on the DevOps side of these projects, enabling the development team to work efficiently. Your tasks include CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance, server and service monitoring, configuring scripts and quality assurance. As you become, or if you already are, more familiar with the DevOps practices, you will join in architectural planning when we set up new customer projects. In terms of technologies, processes, and environments, we now utilize Linux, Docker, Docker Compose, Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes, GitLab and GitHub, AWS, Azure and Google Cloud. However, we are technology agnostics, so you can pick the best technology for each job, roll your own scripts and tools if necessary.

As a DevOps Developer you will work in the customer interface, communicating the project’s architectural requirements and other aspects with the customers. You will also work closely with your team, and therefore good collaboration skills are valued. This position is suitable for you if you have strong skills in software development and interest in DevOps practices, or you could already be experienced in DevOps. Either way, we hope you are a self-starter and ready to take ownership of your own learning. We have offices in Helsinki and Tampere. The development team is working from the Helsinki office, but a flexible remote work option is available as well. However, we hope you can meet your team at the Helsinki office occasionally and you are able to visit customer sites if needed.

We hope you to have:

  • Solid skills in software development (full stack and/or back end)
  • General understanding of DevOps fundamentals and preparedness to learn more
  • Skills or familiarity with some of the following: Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes, AWS, Google Cloud or Azure. You could also benefit from skills in other equivalent technologies
  • Desire and capability to work in the client interface
  • Proficiency in English

We consider as an asset:

  • Previous DevOps experience
  • Skills in software architectures
