Sympa’s product development team is growing and they are now looking for a Frontend Developer to join them! In this position you will be developing the user interface of the Sympa HR Solution software. Sympa has developed their product for over a decade and they are actively modernizing and building new functionalities to it. In this position you are able to focus on long-term development with modern web technologies. In the frontend Sympa uses for example CSS, HTML, Javascript and frameworks such as Backbone and Marionette. “Why Backbone and Marionette?” you may ask. Talk to us – and we can tell you why!

There are currently about 25 people in the product development team with a variety of backgrounds, from software development to testing. The team works tightly together so you should be ready to ask and provide help when needed. Despite the fast-paced growth, Sympa has maintained an agile way of working which means that the hierarchy is flat, and decisions are made fast. The atmosphere is committed yet relaxed. When you want to have a break, you can challenge a team member for a round of table soccer!

Sympa is looking for someone with:

  • previous work experience in web development
  • solid skills in JavaScript, HTML and CSS
  • interest in application usability
  • fluent spoken and written English

 Sympa considers as a plus:

  • Finnish language skills
  • skills in Backbone and Marionette or other JavaScript frameworks
