Frontend Developer (summer job), Customer Identity & Access management

Ubisecure is a pioneering European Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM) software provider and cloud identity services enabler. Ubisecure, the leading Identity Services Provider in Europe, is looking for a Frontend Developer for a three months’ project for summer 2020. Ubisecure’s core focus is Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM). The project you will be joining is related to a pilot solution of Identity as a Service (IDaaS) that will be provided in a cloud environment. IDaaS helps reduce the risk, cost and time it takes to build reliable and secure Identity & Access Management (IAM) functionality into applications. Ubisecure IDaaS empowers developers to embed common IAM functionality and identity services into their own applications. It gives developers the technology to maintain a focus on security and reliability, and get secure, usable applications to market faster.

You will join a web application pilot project where the goal is to make a ready-made proof of concept by the end of summer. Hence, this is a position where you can genuinely create something totally new and make an actual impact on new product generation. You will work closely with an experienced backend developer while having total responsibility of the frontend and UX development on your own. The project will start with service design − you will solve questions such as “Who are the users and what kinds of roles there might be?”, “How do they use the application?” and “What kinds of UIs there need to be and how would they look like?”. Technical product owners are supporting you in the service design phase if needed.  After the roadmap is ready, you will select the technologies and start developing the whole UI from scratch.

We are looking for a developer who can work on the frontend development independently from the first day on. We hope that you have the courage to move things forward, share your knowledge and make decisions independently. We are open to different kinds of backgrounds − you may be at the beginning of your career or a more experienced developer. Most important is to have the skills and desire to work independently and the possibility to engage in a 3 months’ project.

We are looking for:

  • Independent programming skills in JavaScript (React, Angular or Vue.js) / Typescript, HTML and CSS
  • Evidence to showcase your skills (e.g. hobby projects, work experience)
  • Fluent skills in English

We see as an advantage (but don’t require):

  • Previous experience of Bootstrap and/or Material-UI or equivalent
  • Previous experience of UI concepts and/or service design
  • Relevant studies
  • Fluent skills in Finnish
