Full Stack Developers (EdTech)

We are educational publishers’ travel guide in digital wonderland –  a technology partner dedicated to developing great digital learning experiences. Our Cloubi solution combines the most sophisticated web-based authoring toolset for creating and curating digital learning content with a scalable cloud-based infrastructure for operating digital learning materials. Based in Helsinki and Tampere, we serve a growing international clientele, with the Cloubi Community of publishers currently spanning over a dozen countries.

 

Cloubi is now expanding their team with Full Stack Developers! In this role, you will be working with our software Cloubi, a tool used for designing digital learning materials. You will be involved in designing, testing, and implementing the tool either in projects for our clients or in our internal product development. Since this role can be tailored according to your wishes and skills the tasks vary from user interface design to handling the databases.

Our development team is divided into our Helsinki and Tampere offices. The team in Tampere consists of senior developers and the team in Helsinki of developers that are at an earlier stage of their career. You can choose which office you wish to work in. In this role, you get to work with the state-of-the-art digital learning materials that utilize analytics, adaptive contents, and gamification. As a highly growing international company, we have already set a foot in Europe and are planning to expand to the US market.

We hope that you are already at the end of you studies in a relevant field of study. You can also be a more experienced developer since this role provides a lot of chances to grow and have an effect on our technical solutions. What we value the most is experience working with Java but we hope you to have knowledge in web technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS.  We appreciate good collaboration and communication skills.

We look for:

  • Skills in Java, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS
  • Knowledge in relational databases
  • Good collaboration and communication skills
  • Fluency in English

What is seen as an advantage:

  • Experience building user interfaces with VUE
  • Skills in JavaScript libraries (eg. JQuery and RequireJS)
  • Knowledge in Linux, Tomcat and Nginx
  • Skills in Finnish
