(Junior) DevOps Engineer

MVision was born out of a deep desire to harness AI in winning the war on cancer. We exist because cancer patients deserve the best treatment possible, which can only be achieved by providing clinicians with the finest, most reliable tools we can to improve their workflow and help them to focus on patient care. Clinics and hospitals also need to be able to use their limited resources more effectively and meet the official standards to ensure the highest quality cancer treatment.

What started as a small team of two software engineers, a medical physicist, and an AI research scientist in 2017 has grown into an elite team of 20+ dedicated professionals working together to revolutionize radiotherapy.

Thanks to our growth we are looking for a (Junior) DevOps Engineer to strengthen our crew! You will join a small yet talented team of Software Engineers who will be there to support your path of becoming a stellar DevOps professional.

In this position you will assist in maintaining and helping to supervise our product deployments in close contact with our development team and of course our clients, hospital IT. Your main tasks include creating installers with tools such as Ansible & Docker-compose, communicating, negotiating and remotely debugging technical issues with hospital IT and conducting technical documentation. Some tools and technologies you shall use include: Git, Ansible, Docker-compose, GitHub actions/Azure pipelines, Make, Bash, Terraform, AzureRM, Azure Automation.

In the beginning, you will be working together with an experienced colleague who will introduce you to your role. ‌As‌ ‌soon‌ ‌as‌ ‌you‌ gain more‌ ‌experience,‌ ‌you‌ ‌will‌ ‌get‌ ‌more‌ ‌responsibility‌ ‌in managing our cloud infrastructure and affecting our DevOps practises. We don’t expect you to be an experienced DevOps professional yet – our team will train you well!

You may still be at the beginning of your career but we‌ ‌hope‌ ‌you‌ ‌have‌ ‌experience‌ ‌in Linux, especially networking and some programming skills. The experience can be gained from summer jobs, internships or personal/school projects. What matters the most is your interest in deploying and maintaining cloud resources and curiosity to learn more. Our team shares a passion for what we do and we are looking for a person who shares that mindset. We are preferably looking for someone who could work full-time, but part-time hours can be negotiated if you are e.g. finalizing your studies.

We require you to have:

  • Experience in Linux, especially networking (from summer jobs, internships or personal/school projects)
  • Some programming skills
  • Interest in deploying and maintaining cloud resources, including our AI based services
  • Self-driven attitude and good team working skills
  • Willingness to occasionally travel for work
  • Proficiency in English

We consider as an asset:

  • Relevant degree or final stage studies in IT
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and data pipelines
  • Finnish language skills
