Legal Trainee

We are a mobile game developer based in Helsinki, Finland, with offices in San Francisco, Tokyo, Seoul and Shanghai. Since our launch in 2010, we’ve released five games globally – Hay Day, Clash of Clans,Boom Beach, Clash Royale and Brawl Stars.

To make five games, we’ve killed dozens along the way. That’s because we’re obsessed with quality. Our goal is to make the best games – games that are played by millions, enjoyed for years and remembered forever. To achieve this goal, we create the best possible teams and give them the freedom and independence that are core to our success.

We are looking for a sharp and proactive Legal Trainee to join Supercell’s legal wizards in Helsinki. The team is a small yet committed group responsible for helping other teams navigate the roguelike legal and regulatory landscape around us. Be it about IP, contracts, privacy, marketing, eSports or general legal advice, our legal team will help the rest of us succeed in what we do. Depending on your skills and interests, you can participate in various legal-related projects. However, as we believe in no-bullsh*t, one concrete example of where we will need your skills is in sorting out our contract database, as well as leveling up our contract templates. And yes, we have quite a few contracts that need some love and attention. The full-time Trainee period lasts 3 months.

Ideally you have at least 180 ECTS credits of law studies done and are curious about how lawyers work in a creative industry full of its own twists and turns. You have a can-do attitude, you pick up on instructions quickly, and you get things done efficiently. What we are looking for

  • At least 180 ECTS credits (or equivalent) of law studies done
  • Sharp and independent way of working
  • Eye for details and good communication skills
  • Genuine interest for games and the games industry
  • Fluent in English, a second language is a plus
