Drive the green transition and shape the future of renewable energy investments with OX2!

As a Senior Associate in renewable energy investments and M&A, you will play a key role in preparing and executing investment decisions in onshore wind, solar PV, and energy storage projects. You will also take ownership of project management and ensure high-quality investment analysis, due diligence, and stakeholder coordination. In addition, you will be involved in both buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions, supporting OX2’s strategic expansion.

Your responsibilities include:

• Leading the preparation of investment decisions, including financial modeling, market analysis, and documentation.
• Managing transaction processes, including due diligence, contract negotiations, and stakeholder coordination.
• Overseeing external advisors and working closely with internal teams across development, legal, and financing functions.
• Supporting equity investment negotiations and collaboration with lenders, investors, and co-developers.
• Engaging in buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions, contributing to the growth and diversification of OX2’s portfolio.
• Contributing to OX2’s transition towards a hybrid energy company, combining project sales with direct ownership of renewable energy assets.

You have a strong background in investment analysis, project management, or M&A and are eager to take ownership of large-scale renewable energy projects. You thrive in an international, fast-paced environment where autonomy and collaboration go hand in hand.

We hope you have:

• 4+ years of relevant work experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, transaction services, or a similar field.
• A Master’s degree in Finance, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Experience in project management, financial modeling, and due diligence.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• A proactive approach to work, combined with a humble and collaborative attitude.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders across different teams and external partners.
• Proficiency in Excel - you don’t need to be an Excel wizard, but strong skills are appreciated.
• Full professional proficiency in English - skills in Finnish and Swedish are considered an advantage.

Additionally, we value:

• Experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, or real estate investments.
• Exposure to large-scale transactions and capital investments.

Practicalities:

This is a full-time, permanent position where you will be directly employed by OX2 Finland. The role is based in Helsinki, with occasional travel to Stockholm and other European locations.
