Etteplan is a progressive group of more than 3.000 global technical specialists who are working to spark positive change in the world of engineering. We believe that solving tomorrow’s engineering challenges will require a different, more structured, focused approach. Based on our deep industrial insights in varied sectors, we apply new thinking in three service areas: engineering, embedded systems & IoT as well as technical documentation. Our clients are world-leading machinery and equipment manufacturers, and our specialists apply unique engineering expertise and service products over the entire product life cycle. With over 50 offices in Finland, Sweden, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, and China we provide a truly global business environment. In our virtual expert teams there are many opportunities for professionals who are passionate about learning and sharing knowledge. If this sounds interesting, let’s get together and see how we can make an engineering difference together.
We are looking for a proactive, driven quality specialist to join Etteplan. You will be responsible for an Etteplan customer’s quality management projects. In close cooperation with stakeholders and subject matter experts, such as quality and project managers, engineers, end-customers, and subcontractors, you will analyse and tackle quality errors and deviations, and make sure quality guidelines are followed. More importantly, you will develop your customer’s quality processes and practices away from a reactive approach and towards a more preventive and proactive approach. In other words, you will be instrumental in introducing your customer organization to the concept of quality culture or mindset, and in strengthening it.
You already have quality management experience, preferably within heavy industry. However, genuine interest towards everything quality and eagerness to learn is at least equally important. You are also a motivated self-starter with great task management skills, who is able to pay attention to detail without being too much of a perfectionist, as well as an independent, results-driven team player.
In this role, you will work at a customer site in the capital region on secondment basis and report to your customer’s quality manager.
We require you to have:
- A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in industrial engineering or another relevant field
- Quality management and tool experience (e.g. root cause analysis, Lean, Six Sigma, RCA, DMAIC)
- Heavy industry experience or understanding
- An proactive, challenge-embracing approach to work
- A very good command of both written and spoken English
We consider as an asset:
- Technical documentation experience
- Proficiency in Finnish
