Reactive Technologies, a leader in accurate grid measurement tools, is seeking a vision-focused Technical Product Owner to help drive their growth in Oulu, Finland. The company’s mission is to streamline and accelerate the energy sector’s transition to zero-carbon energy.

As a Technical Product Owner you will act as the bridge between product management team and software development team. Reactive Technologies’ products translate specialist power systems measurements into actionable insights for power grid operators. In this role you will own the vision and strategy for how we achieve this with an intuitive and engaging user experience! Your specific tasks will include:

• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure design feasibility and usability
• Prioritize and manage the product backlog and roadmap based on business value and customer impact
• Participate in sprint planning meetings with the development team providing input on the prioritization of user stories and clarifying acceptance criteria
• Translate concepts into outputs and prototypes and capture user feedback or evaluation to improve designs.
• Evaluate alternative design options and recommends designs considering performance, security, usability and accessibility requirements
• Document user personas, use cases, user stories, and user journeys, to communicate the design vision and solutions.
• Conduct user research to understand user needs, behaviours, and pain points

What kind of person thrives in this role?

You might be the candidate we are looking for if you have proven experience across product owner roles. We hope that you are detail focused and ideally have experience in UI/UX design. This role is ideal for someone who wants to work in an early growth stage company that will provide a lot of opportunities to be innovative, have a lot of influence in decision making, and learn beyond their current role!

We hope you have:

• 5 years proven experience across product owner, UI/UX design or UI development roles
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, software engineering or other quantitative discipline
• Ability to reduce complexity into key, scalable requirements and to communicate effectively both in internal and external contexts
• Process-oriented, flexible with change, comfortable working in less-structured growth environments, offering recommendations for improvement
• Strong accountability and a track record of taking ownership of product initiatives
• A professional and positive attitude, even while working in a fast-paced environment
• Working proficiency in English

We consider as an asset:

• Previous experience working in energy sector and/or with smart grid technologies
• Working proficiency in Finnish

This is a full-time and permanent position and the starting date can be negotiated. The company’s office is located in Oulu, and we hope you have the possibility to work from there. Please note that we expect you to already have a valid work permit in Finland.
