HelvarTest Engineer

We are now looking for an enthusiastic Test Engineer to join Helvar’s agile and professional Testing & Quality team in Karkkila!

Helvar is a Finnish electrical engineering company with over 100 years of expertise. Helvar develops and manufactures high-quality and sustainable LED Drivers, radio nodes, and other electronics used in modern LED luminaires.

As a Test Engineer at Helvar , your main responsibility is to participate in the type testing of Helvar's new lighting products. You’ll be working on product development projects by designing and executing test cases for solutions made of a combination of hardware and software products. Your tasks may include, for example, testing the product, simulating changing scenarios, problem-solving, communicating results to designers, and documenting test results. In addition to this, you'll also get to contribute to the development of the Helvar test environment to make it even more agile and efficient. On a daily basis, you´ll work closely with the development team and technical support.

You might be the right person for the job if you are a proactive person who has a good understanding of testing procedures and background on the electrical side. Electrical measurement devices are familiar to you and you are equipped with good initiative and drive to make things happen. Previous experience in the electronics and software side is a plus, but the most important thing is a genuine desire to be a contributor to the quality of Helvar products and a willingness to ensure that the tested products meet certain standards and requirements in terms of function, safety, and efficiency.

Helvar hopes you have:

• Previous work experience in the testing field and understanding of testing processes

• Study background in Electrical Engineering or other relevant field

• Passion towards testing and willingness to develop Helvars testing environment

• Great communication and teamwork skills

• Good spoken and written English language skills

Helvar considers as an asset:

• Understanding of LED driver or power supply development

• Previous experience working with software products

• Background from electronics

• Finnish language skills

Practicalities:

This is a permanent full-time position and you’ll be employed directly at Helvar. The work happens on-site at Helvar’s office in Karkkila. The specific starting date can be agreed upon but your team is eager to meet you so Helvar hopes you can start as soon as possible.
