Coding Factory is back! Last year was such a hit that we decided to do it again – and better! On January 27th we will bring together a great mix of the most thrilling IT companies and young IT talents. At the Coding Factory participants get to showcase their talent directly to the great people of Futurice, F-Secure, Qvik, RELEX and Solita. They will also get a rare sneak peek in the company cultures and have a chance to be recruited on the spot. And we are not just saying that for a nice marketing hype – last year at Coding Factory every fifth of the participants scored a job!
Coding Factory is not to be mistaken for a job fair and we will not be standing by stands handing out pens. Oh no, instead we are all about real opportunities and people, meaningful contacts and great times! ”During the evening, participants have an excellent opportunity to familiarize oneself face to face with their potential future colleagues in a casual environment. They will get to observe what kind of a company culture and ways of working suits them the best. We had so much fun, but also learned a lot from last year’s event and are even more emphasizing the networking and opportunities for new contacts this year. We asked the participating companies to send a message for the IT talents before the event. Here are their greetings and a quick taster to see how the companies are handling the Coding Factory buzz and what are their expectations for the event!
F-Secure: Do you want to play hide and seek with us? We want to get to know you, come and talk to our folks and get a sneak peek on what we actually do. You have a chance to talk to our experts and ask questions about cyber security and what it is like to work @ F-Secure, perhaps even participate to our summer job search. It will also be an interesting panel discussion with our very own Mikko Hyppönen on stage.
Futurice : You can expect to meet Futurice people who can tell you about the daily life of Futurice, but also give you some pointers on how to develop yourself further as a professional. We recommend that you prepare a few (difficult) questions that you want to ask from us as well as the other companies. This is a great opportunity to build bridges that might carry you far in the future. We expect to spend a nice evening with some of the nicest and brightest future programmers. It’s great to meet people in a laid back atmosphere where you actually have the time to have real conversations with everyone. Most importantly, we expect to meet a few of our future colleagues for the first time. That’s always exciting!
QVIK : What can coders expect from us? Coders will hit upon eye-popping challenges, compelling discussions and a cozy atmosphere at Qvik’s corner! We want to know who you are and what gets you inspired to be the best you. In addition to cutting-edge mobile, we also want to offer new insights from the fascinating world of AI and cloud services. We are expecting to meet enthusiastic and talented coders looking for new experiences and hungry to challenge themselves. Qvik’s size and culture allows for intense development as long as you’re willing to stretch yourself a little and enjoy expanding your comfort zone. We are now planning to hire summer qvikies for the first time and are beyond excited for the possibility of finding a bunch of them from Coding Factory. If you’re looking for a full-time job – we’re equally interested. We’re already juiced up to get to share our culture and ideas, and hope they resonate with the right crowd.
RELEX : You’ll get a sneak peek to what goes on in the world of developing cutting-edge software to solve the toughest challenges in retail and supply chain planning – and you get to meet the guys behind it. The RELEX team is expecting to meet a bunch of talented future stars who get things done. As RELEX is growing fast, we are always on the lookout for new team members, and this is a great opportunity to show your skills and stand out.
Solita : What can coders expect from Solita at the event and what are we expecting from the event? We are joining for the first time this year and thus expecting an awesome atmosphere and interesting conversations with fresh young talents. In other words, fun and relaxed hanging out and getting to know new people. Coders can expect the same from us: they will get to know Solita employees at a fun and relaxed event – on top of which we offer interesting and inclusive activities at our checkpoint.
