Surgify is looking for a Junior Product Development Engineer to join their team in Otaniemi. After its establishment in 2017 Surgify has been focusing on product development but is now in the finalizing stages and looking to launch the product towards the end of 2019. Clinical trials and laboratory test are being ran with the goal of having first procedures on patients in near future. This all means that additional forces are needed to the team and if you have been looking for an opportunity to put your skills in action for a meaningful mission, this could be it!
As a Junior Product Development Engineer you will be working closely together with the whole Surgify team assisting in different tasks especially relating to product development and quality management. Your daily tasks can include for example building prototypes, CAD design with Solidworks, preparing technical documentation, assisting in physical testing and communicating with suppliers. As we are a startup the environment is dynamic and the tasks and responsibilities will grow with you. This is why we are looking for a person who is flexible, open-minded and ready for a steep learning curve. Our team will offer support as much as possible but you should also share our mentality in taking initiative on your own.

As a company, we prefer to work in a seamless, dynamic collaboration which is why good teamwork and communication skills are highly valued. We are able to offer full-time hours but in case you still have some studies left part-time hours can be arranged.
- A degree or ongoing studies in mechanical engineering or biomedical engineering
- Experience of CAD, especially with SolidWorks
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Good teamwork skills, flexibility and willingness to work in a dynamic environment
- Ability to commit to quality and discipline which is needed in the medical device field
