Quality Manager

Published on 08.11.2018

Ductor is a global biotech company that is changing the world through groundbreaking innovation, design, and the circular economy. Our ambition is to fight climate change, produce renewable energy, and solve the increasing food demand and waste accumulations challenges. Ductor was founded in 2009 in Helsinki, Finland. Today we operate globally in North America, Europe, and Asia. One day we’ll be everywhere.

That is what we do. That is why we are here, come and join us.

As Ductor’s business expands, we are looking for a curious Quality Manager to join its international team in Helsinki, Finland. Plant deliveries are Ductor’s core business and as a Quality Manager, you will be responsible for quality assurance during delivery. Additionally, development and maintenance of operational processes will also fall within the role’s responsibilities, as they affect the quality of deliveries either directly or indirectly.

More specifically, this is a new and interesting position, and as a Quality Manager your main ambition will be to create, document and implement a quality management system for Ductor, and to ensure its future evolvement and compliance to constantly improve quality. Moreover, this task will include planning and execution of internal audits to check that the quality management system is fully operational and demonstrate that it meets the standards. As quality management is as much a science to have a process approach to quality as it is an art to manage people, you will also be responsible of not just evaluating the core business and implementing a new quality management system but also of providing quality training for the whole personnel of Ductor.

We are looking for an ambitious person and a talented problem solver with relevant technical studies as well as knowledge of and genuine interest towards everything related to quality. Thus, an understanding of quality management and its importance for company success as well as eagerness to learn new things is far more important than previous work experience within quality management – even though it is considered as a strong plus!

We require you to have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) from a technical field of studies
  • Previous experience with quality systems as well as genuine interest towards everything related to quality
  • An open-minded and target-oriented attitude as part of your DNA
  • Good technical understanding and hands-on approach
  • Readiness to travel internationally
  • Very good command of both written and spoken English

 We consider as an asset:

  • Previous experience in international organizations and/or within process industry
  • Proficiency in Finnish

Ductor can offer you:

A versatile and interesting assignment in a growing company, where you will be able make your mark in the development of the company. Besides offering versatility and something of great interest, Ductor offers you a truly meaningful assignment in the fight against climate change; you will get to be in the front line to solve global challenges with interesting products and motivating and knowledgeable team. Moreover, Ductor offers you a truly international working environment, where international travel may be required up to 20 % of your time. Last but certainly not least, Ductor offers you countless of opportunities to learn, develop and grow.
