We are looking for a Software Engineer (C/C++) to join our product development team. In this role you will work on one of our flagship products: the Blancco Drive Eraser, a software for permanent data erasure for HDDs/SSDs in PCs, laptops ands servers (more info here:

You will develop new features to the product and participate in all stages of the development cycle from planning and designing to hands-on programming, testing and debugging. Your focus will be on the backend development, mainly with C++ but also with C. However, we don’t have strict roles in our team and depending on your skills and interest, we have several interesting areas you might want to dig deeper into, ranging from low-level programming to UI development and to information security. The product is Linux-based. In addition we use Jira, Confluence and Git.  

We recognize our software development to be moderately complex, which is why we expect you to have previous work experience from commercial software development with C++ and/or C, preferably in Linux environment. At Blancco, you would be joining a self-organized and agile development team of ten. Our developers like to challenge the idea of “impossible”, producing elegant, simple and high quality solutions, so we hope that you share our mindset. In this position you will be employed directly to Blancco.

We expect:

  • Previous work experience in C/C++ programming from commercial software development
  • Experience in working with Linux systems
  • Familiarity with modern agile software development practices and tools, for example Git, Jira or Confluence
  • Good team working skills and ability to work in multinational teams 
  • Good skills in English

We appreciate but don’t require:

  • Knowledge of UI development
