What we do
We are a significant independent fuel procurement company in the Baltic Sea region and we also actively operate on the global trading market. We specialize in oil and renewable products wholesale in Finland, Sweden and Norway. NEOT is owned by SOK and St1 Nordic Oy and we work in close cooperation with our owners. Annually we supply roughly 7 billion litres of fuel products to our owners’ operations, including large service station chains St1, ABC and Shell. We employ around 50 people.

How we work
NEOT Spirit sets the foundation to everything we do. It crystallizes what kind of company we want to be and what we value. The four components of NEOT Spirit, agility, sustainability, competitive advantage and good vibes, are the fundamentals on which our company is built upon.

We feel proud of the fact that we were recognized as Finland’s Most Inspiring Workplace in 2019.
(Corporate Spirit award, category of small organisations).

Our purpose
We enable our owners to prosper by providing them with competitive and sustainable fuel solutions. Our continuous solid performance enables them to invest in sustainable future solutions.

We are now looking for a new Sustainability Expert to join NEOT’s sustainability team. The team plays a crucial role in ensuring our compliance with biofuel legislation as well as other sustainability aspects related to the supply chain of the products. In the position you will be focusing on maintaining the good quality level of our internal sustainability processes through controlling the accuracy of sustainability information as well as developing our current processes and systems further.

In this role your main responsibility is to lead compliance and optimization developments of biofuels mass balancing. You develop NEOT’s internal and external sustainability processes and make sure that cooperation between different teams runs smoothly. You take the lead in controlling the accuracy of sustainability information flow throughout our supply chain. In addition to these you’ll participate in audits, legislations and sustainability scheme work with other team members. You help conduct the internal sustainability audits and coordinate with external audits, and also take part in legislations and sustainability scheme monitoring (National and EU voluntary schemes).

Because you work with different kinds of internal stakeholders, you need to have excellent cooperation skills. Your work also requires precision and we hope you have an eye for the details. You will be working closely with the team, but beyond that you also need to work independently and take actions proactively. In this role you get to develop both processes and systems. We hope you have done some development work before and also have overall understanding about sustainability schemes, regulations and market requirements.

We are offering you:

  • A place within one of Finland’s Most Inspiring Workplaces in 2020
  • Great employee benefits (e.g. SOK personnel benefits, ePassi and an extensive freetime accident insurance)
  • Personal and professional career development in a responsible and varied role within a remarkable international business
  • A low-bureaucracy organization where good ideas tend to be utilized in an agile way

We expect you to:

  • Have a relevant university degree (e.g. business, environmental science or engineering studies)
  • Have a few years of relevant work experience – e.g. working with sustainability compliance, GHG emission calculations, and/or supply chain management
  • Be a true team player and continuously look for ways to do things better and learn more
  • Have very good Excel skills and ability to learn new systems with ease
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills in English

We consider as an asset:

  • Previous experience in the biofuels or energy sector, and having a deeper knowledge of biofuels production and feedstock assessment for sustainability
  • Experience with PowerBI or other BI-tools
  • Knowledge or experience in audit and development processes
