UI/UX Designer (Health Technology)

Published on 06.09.2018

Kide Systems specializes in providing modern software solutions to eye care (e.g. optical stores, eye clinics). Our main target is to provide the whole workflow from the clinical device connection to archiving and telemedicine. KIDE web-based solutions work with all modern browsers and operating systems and are designed to fulfil current and especially future requirements in clinical pathways in eye care. Our solutions have been designed in cooperation with physicians and other healthcare professionals to offer excellent usability and performance. Our customers are optical retailers, clinics and hospitals.

KIDE is now looking for an UI/UX Designer with an eye for graphically appealing looks! In this position you will design and develop KIDE’s software product with the rest of the product management team. Your main tasks consist of creating graphics and designing user interfaces and UI elements. You will also need to take the context and usability into consideration, so understanding of UX is appreciated. We are looking for someone with an active approach to their work, someone who can see the bigger picture and be agile with clients. The role offers you a great combination of responsibility and freedom and it can be tailored according to your own skills and preferences.

You will work in close cooperation with KIDE’s product manager, technical specialists, developers and the marketing team. You will also collaborate with KIDE’s international agents. At KIDE you’ll be joining their tight-knit work community either at their office in Otaniemi or Oulu (you can decide for yourself). This position requires you to travel between the offices (approximately twice a month) and occasionally internationally (mainly to the US).

KIDE is now in an exciting growth phase and you’ll have the opportunity to grow with them. KIDE doesn’t strictly adhere to processes, which means that your voice will be heard, and creativity appreciated and rewarded. So, if you are looking to work in a locally small and dynamic company where you can shape the future of the business in an international environment, you might just be the right fit. KIDE is owned by Topcon, a leading manufacturer of optical equipment for ophthalmology and surveying which also enables great career opportunities within the group.

We expect you to have:

  • Prior work experience with UI/UX design
  • A relevant educational background
  • Knowledge of graphics
  • Adequate skills with HTML5/CSS
  • The ability to combine business needs with technology and customer experience
  • Excellent English skills

We consider as an advantage:

  • Skills in JavaScript
