Accounts Receivable & Licensing Accountant

Rovio Entertainment Corporation is a Finnish, games-first entertainment company, that creates, develops and publishes mobile games and acts as a brand licensor in various entertainment and consumer product categories. The Company is best known for the global Angry Birds brand, which started from a popular mobile game in 2009. 

Rovio is now searching for an Accounts Receivable & Licensing Accountant to complement the team of four professionals. In the position you will be taking care of two different areas. 

To begin with, you are to handle the Group Accounts Receivable and give assistance for group accounting in general. In practice, this consists of the following tasks: sales invoicing and payment clearance; credit checks; managing the collection agency; collecting WHT certificates and reconciling the bank accounts and further posting to the financial accounting system. Additionally, you will be dealing with the month end closing procedures and managing the Accounts Receivable together with updating business specific action lists for debt collection. Finally, you’ll operate as the backup for Accounts Payable. 

Concerning the licensing side, you are to support the Brand Licensing business in royalty reporting. In practice, this comprises agent and licensee money flow & transaction reports management and communicating partner performance to the licensing team. 

In addition to possessing the required baseline via relevant education and work experience to succeed in the position, we expect you to be comfortable with the MS Office software (esp. Excel) and able to cope effortlessly with business English (company language). As a trade, Rovio will offer you a chance to get to work for a world-class brand in the ranks of an international team. We require you to:

  • Possess a relevant degree (BBA or similar)
  • Have 2+ years of relevant work experience (international business valued)  
  • Speak English fluently
  • Be a confident user of MS Office software  

 We consider as an asset:

  • Ability to operate in Finnish (other language skills beneficial)
  • Previous experience on accounting software (MS Navision in particular)
