Botlabs is looking for Backend Developers for client projects! Botlabs is growing fast so now it is a great time to join the company since there will be a lot to do now and in the future. You’ll get to work on versatile client projects together with highly experienced colleagues as well as with client team members. The projects you will join depend on your strengths and interests. There’s also a possibility for a rotation between different projects. However, you’ll get to focus on one project at a time. Clients are typically large companies and organizations – read more about e.g.  Cooperation between Botlabs and the City of Oulu and Cooperation with Destia. We are looking for new team members with an open mind, so tell us what skills you have and what you would like to get done, and let’s see what kind of match we would be! 

You’ll work at our clients’ offices either in the Oulu area or in southern Finland. Botlabs is currently expanding to the Helsinki metropolitan area. During these exceptional circumstances, we are working mostly remotely. You’ll work in 3-month periods on one project after which you can choose whether you want to continue or switch to another project. As soon as you feel comfortable, you may also be placed in a project lead or architect role – if you wish.

We are looking for experienced Backend Developers with different kinds of backgrounds. We hope you have been working already many years on various projects in many organizations and you feel comfortable working directly with the client. You have good communication skills and you are eager to bring your ideas to the table. To succeed in this position you need a flexible attitude to be able to work in a dynamic environment where projects change regularly. You don’t have to be a Backend Developer who knows everything about anything – more importantly, we are looking for applicants with the right attitude and willingness to improve their own skills. Let us know which technologies you master and let’s see if we are a match! We are also open for applicants who are interested in working through their own company as a freelancer.

We hope you to have:

  • Strong skills with some of the following technologies and programming languages: Linux, Embedded Linux, Windows, Python, Java, C/C++, Git, Jenkins, Robot Framework. These are most commonly used in our client projects.
  • A few years of relevant work experience in different projects
  • Ability to take ownership and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Fluent communication skills in English (both written and spoken)
