Business Finland is now looking for a full time, fixed-term (5 months) Data Analyst trainee, Visit Finland with a flexible attitude, an eye for details and a proactive mindset. Working in Business Finland’s Visit Finland unit offers you an excellent chance to start your career and work closely with a dynamic and experienced team of three professionals! In return we hope that you can handle tight schedules well, and have altogether good organizational skills. Ability to work independently as well as in a team in a multicultural environment will help you to succeed in this position. The start date will be in the middle of August. Because of the current Covid-19 situation, the work will be a mix of remote work and work at the Business Finland’s office in Ruoholahti, Helsinki.

Your role:

You will get an opportunity to work in a fast-moving and truly global organization, offering you a unique view into international markets and business environments. When working in Business Finland, you will meet colleagues and partners from all over the world from many different industries, companies and organizations, and you will have an opportunity to influence within the core of innovations and international cooperation. Your responsibilities will include operational tasks but you will also participate in development projects.

In this position, your job tasks include for example:

  • Analyzing market trends with analytical tools
  • Process market information on tourism to be used by Visit Finland marketing, sales promotion and product development
  • Acquiring knowledge from domestic and international databases
  • Assist in other ongoing internal projects, for example, data collection and report creation

What we expect from you:

  • Relevant educational background from university or university of applied sciences (e.g. finance, statistics)
  • Fluent oral and written English and Finnish
  • Good command of office software and digital tools
  • Understanding of visuals and keen interest in statistics and research
  • Basic knowledge on PowerBI or other reporting tools
