Lola&Lykke is a community-driven online platform providing new parents access to holistic support and integrated care. The brand was founded in 2018 by two Finnish women with a mission to support the health and wellbeing of new mums. Our team consists of mothers, product design professionals and maternal health experts who are passionate about changing the information and support available to new parents. Our story began with designing innovative health and wellness products with healthcare experts and building brand awareness. Today, to add to our portfolio of award-winning health and wellness products for mums, we offer mums valuable information, expert advice, and ante/postnatal education.

Our mission is to fill the gaps in conventional maternity care and ensure that more parents receive the support they need, when they need it. We are building a safe community for mums, where they feel cared for and where they can find the support and information they need to thrive. Our goal is that everyone gets evidence-based information, comprehensive human support and health products needed to thrive physically, mentally and professionally, throughout pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum.

Lola&Lykke has been growing rapidly internationally since 2018. We currently operate in the European market – with UK as the largest market – and are expanding to the Middle East region and North America this year. Our business currently employs 7 permanent staff and over 20 talented freelancers. Our current focus is on technology development, with a new online platform launching in October. In addition, the business is now focused on developing an app to support the use of its products and investing into building an engaged community of parents across its international markets.

We are now looking for a data-driven, curious and creative Digital Marketing Specialist to join Lola&Lykke’s growing team. In this diverse role, you’ll get to support our digital marketing operations and work alongside with our Ecommerce & Community Manager as well as our Content Manager. You´ll get to support and implement the company’s digital marketing strategy to improve engagement, community building and sales. You will have a hands-on role in supporting Lola&Lykke’s social media presence and the development of our customer community, which offers mums support throughout pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum.

Offering expert-driven wellbeing products and services as well as fostering a sense of community are at the heart of everything at Lola&Lykke. The brand seeks to create a seamless experience by connecting the offline and online worlds; they recognise mothers need support beyond just products and are there to help them from start to finish with education, expert advice and factual content. Lola&Lykke fosters their online community through user generated content and by always portraying a real image of motherhood.

As Digital Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

Social media:

  • Day-to-day social media management and content creation (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Youtube) in close liaison with our Content Administrator
  • Identifying and managing micro influencers
  • Creating a social media content calendar in line with campaign promotions and social trends
  • Producing advertising materials and managing social media ads
  • Content publishing in various channels
  • Utilising other social media platforms to promote the business

Email marketing:

  • Creating and delivering weekly newsletters in line with product offers, promotions, and company announcements
  • Creating and delivering monthly B2B newsletters
  • Assistance with email automation

Other tasks:

  • Community management support
  • Website optimisation support
  • Campaign coordination and execution
  • Video content creation for social media channels
  • Designing ads, brochures, leaflets, user manuals, website sections, banner ads and other marketing materials

What experience should you have?

Lola&Lykke is looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist with an endless desire for development and a passion for helping mums in different circumstances. We’d like to see some prior experience of digital marketing tasks and channels; of successful handling of a varied workload independently and a proven ability to take things forward proactively.

Above all, what you are like as a person is what matters most to us. If you have some experience from a successful project or from a previous job where your contribution created great results, then we would like to hear about that. Lola&Lykke is an international brand operating in several European markets so fluency in English is essential in this role. Your English skills must be on a high level so that you can successfully create written content and make sure our campaigns are executed in the best possible way.

We are looking for someone who thrives working with new subject areas and who works independently with great speed – but at the same time someone who is humble, flexible and willing to listen. You should ask a lot of questions and be eager to learn new things – but you should also be analytical and ready to answer your own questions. Strong IT skills including basic video creation skills and some knowledge of Adobe tools is very beneficial in this role. In addition, a systematic approach and great communication skills are needed to be successful in this role. You are a team player, but you work well independently to balance looking at the larger picture at hand with prioritization of day-to-day initiatives. A passion for parenting, health and wellness is strongly preferred!

Working in a fast-paced startup environment provides you great opportunities to take responsibility and grow your expertise in a variety of different tasks, but it also demands a driven, proactive working approach and great problem solving skills. We expect you to:

  • Understand the big picture of modern digital marketing and online business
  • Have a relevant educational background and previous working experience, preferably in digital marketing, SEO, service design/user experience, growth hacking and/or ecommerce
  • Be familiar with Shopify ecommerce platform
  • Be fully capable of working independently and be a true team player in a geographically dispersed team
  • Have a collaborative and adaptable personality to keep up with Lola&Lykke’s growth, and turn challenges into success stories
  • Have natural problem-solving skills and an ability to see problems from a bird’s eye view, identifying the core of the problem, and providing creative solutions
  • Excellent skills in English, verbal and written

We consider beneficial:

  • Previous experience within a startup environment
  • Video creation experience and basic knowledge of Adobe tools
  • Experience with social ads and an ability to keep up with social trends
