Janesko Oy is a design and product development company focused on measuring instruments for process industry and operates closely with the linked company K-Patents Oy manufacturing and selling the products. Our growing global customer base consists of pulp, chemical, petrochemical, oil refining, semiconductor, food, beverage, and sugar industries. We are the technology and market leader globally, and we invest heavily in R&D. The work that we do affects customer’s product quality, the ecological footprint of factories as well as profitability.

We are growing and now looking for a Jr. Software Developer to join our team of ten in Vantaa! As Jr. Software Developer, you get to join our agile R&D team and participate in developing our patented in-line liquid measurement system’s software. In this position, you get to contribute to the maintenance and further development of our testing systems. As these systems get more sophisticated all the time, there is a growing need for both automated and manual testing as well as analysing the results and fixing the software accordingly. Your projects and areas of responsibility can be tailored according to your own interests.

Our ideal candidate has a strong interest in programming, an analytical mindset, and basic level programming skills. You don’t have to be a professional developer yet, but we are looking for someone who has got the willingness and attitude to deepen his/her skills in software development. A systematic approach to work and can-do spirit also come handy in this position. If you have previous experience in the field, it is seen as an advantage for you. It is possible to discuss part-time employment as well if you are finishing your studies, for instance. You may also start as a thesis worker.

Requirements for the applicant:

  • Relevant educational background, e.g. a Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science
  • Basic level programming skills (for example in Python or C)
  • Knowledge of Linux (through hobbyist experience or your own projects, for example)
  • Fluent English skills, both written and spoken (Finnish not necessary)

  • Previous web development experience
