Deal Comp Oy is looking for a (Junior) Software Developer to strengthen their team. In‌ ‌this‌ ‌position‌, ‌you‌ ‌will work on an interesting project to develop a vehicle computer and software for demanding traffic applications. The project is being carried out in collaboration with our technology partner based in Thailand.

At the beginning, you will attend a 3 month onboarding period in Thailand where our technology partner’s development team will give you comprehensive training for the role. After the onboarding period, you will mainly focus on the hands-on programming and you can choose whether to work at Deal Comp’s office in Helsinki or remotely. You will also get to work with small-scale programming tasks related to our other projects. We want to match your strengths and points of interests in the best way possible so the job description can be customized depending on your skills and interests. With us you get to work with technologies and tools such as: Python, Java, C, C++, Qt and Linux.

You‌ ‌don’t‌ ‌have‌ ‌to‌ ‌be‌ ‌an‌ ‌experienced‌ ‌developer ‌right‌ ‌away‌ ‌but‌ ‌we‌ ‌hope‌ ‌you‌ ‌have‌ ‌some‌ ‌practical‌ ‌ software‌ ‌development‌ ‌experience‌ ‌from‌ ‌summer‌ ‌jobs,‌ ‌internships‌ ‌or‌ personal/school‌ ‌projects.‌‌ ‌You‌ ‌will‌ ‌participate‌ ‌in‌ ‌hands-on‌ ‌development‌ ‌right‌ ‌from‌ ‌the‌ ‌beginning‌ ‌which‌ ‌is‌ ‌why‌ some basic ‌skills‌ ‌in‌ Python or Java is required. We are looking for someone who has capability to work independently and eagerness to take on new tasks. This is a great opportunity for you to kickstart your career as a developer!

We require you to have:

  • Relevant study background or final stage studies in IT
  • Practical experience in software development (e.g summer job, internship or personal/school projects)
  • Programming skills in Python and/or Java
  • Capability to work independently and eagerness to learn
  • Excellent communication and team working skills
  • Proficiency in English

We consider as an asset:

  • Skills in C++, QT and embedded databases
  • Skills in embedded or YOCTO Linux
  • Finnish language skills
