Legal Trainee

Julkaistu 01.11.2021

We are a mobile game developer based in Helsinki, Finland, with offices in San Francisco, Seoul and Shanghai. Since our launch in 2010, we’ve released five games globally – Hay Day, Clash of Clans, Boom Beach, Clash Royale and Brawl Stars.

To make five games, we’ve killed dozens along the way. That’s because we’re obsessed with quality. Our goal is to make the best games – games that are played by millions, enjoyed for years and remembered forever. To achieve this goal, we create the best possible teams and give them the freedom and independence that are core to our success.

The Legal Team at Supercell is a small yet committed multinational unit that is dedicated to helping Supercell navigate the global legal and regulatory landscape. We strive to remove obstacles and avoid pitfalls for Supercellians as they create amazing experiences for our players! We touch all aspects of Supercell’s business by providing support in a wide range of practice areas–from specific topics like IP rights, marketing, data protection, employment and eSports, to more general commercial contracts and legal advice. As a small team, we have to know our limits, and when necessary, we tap into our close network of external experts to help us tackle issues that may require a very particular set of skills. Ultimately, the legal team is here to do whatever it takes to help all Supercellians make informed decisions and succeed in what they do best.

We are looking for a sharp and proactive Legal Trainee to join Supercell’s legal wizards in Helsinki. Our goal is to expose you to a wide variety of legal-related projects so you can understand what it is like to be an in-house counsel with a company like Supercell. At the same time, we will also need your help with handling routine legal tasks, such as managing the e-signature process for all our contracts, and assisting Supercellians with commercial contracts for projects big and small. This is a full-time traineeship and will last 3-6 months. You have a possibility to have an effect on the duration of the traineeship.

If you love to think, talk and play games, Supercell is the place for you. Ideally you have at least 180 ECTS credits of law studies done and are curious about how lawyers work in a creative industry full of its own twists and turns. You have a can-do attitude, pick up on instructions quickly, get things done efficiently, and are eager to admit what you don’t know and learn new tricks. We’re made up of proactive, independent teams with the freedom to do what they think is best for their players, our games and the company at large, and we will expect the same from you.

Why you will love it at Supercell:

  • Opportunity to work with a small yet experienced legal team in a global context
  • Insider view to a mobile games company
  • Easy-going, enthusiastic, open and at the same time a very results-driven culture
  • Fair compensation and good benefits, including free gym and lunch benefit
  • Smartphone + mobile-phone benefit, tablet, laptop/workstation to use during the Trainee period
  • Amazing co-workers

What we are looking for

  • At least 180 ECTS credits (or equivalent) of law studies done
  • Sharp and independent way of working
  • Eye for details and good communication skills
  • Genuine interest for games and the games industry
  • Fluent in English, a second language is a plus

If this feels like your calling, go ahead and submit your application letter and CV by latest 10.11.2021 via our application system. Please submit your study transcripts, but more than that, we’d love to know who you are and why you are interested in the Legal Trainee position at Supercell. In addition, please mention your preferred starting date and your wish for the duration of traineeship in your application documents.

In this position you will be employed as an aTalent employee at Supercell.
