SEB is now looking for interns to take part in our Local Internship Programme during spring or autumn 2020. We have 6 positions within our Large Corporates & Financial Institutions division. The interns will be based in the Financial Institutions Coverage, Markets, and Financial Strategy teams. We will match you to one of the teams based on your background and interests. You will get a unique opportunity to learn about banking and gain a thorough understanding of SEB’s business in Finland and abroad.
Financial Institutions Coverage – In this position you will have the opportunity to learn how we work with our financial institutions clients, experience how we advise our clients in new business opportunities and understand how the financial markets work. You will get a good understanding of the financial industry in Finland, the key players, and their behavior. Your daily work might include e.g., industry analysis and research work for various projects. The Financial Institutions Coverage unit consists of 6 team members working in close cooperation with our Markets, Asset Management Sales, and Investor Services units.
Financial Strategy – In this position you will get an opportunity to learn fundamental corporate analysis skills. Your responsibilities will include supporting in strategic advisory projects to our corporate clients regarding their financing and capital structure in corporate events such as M&A, large investments or capital raising. You will be a part of a small team working closely together with large corporate clients.
Markets: FICC Sales / Equity Research – We are looking for a FICC Sales team intern for the spring and Equity Research team intern for the autumn.
In the Sales team position, you will gain an in-depth understanding of the FICC Sales functions and the different product offered within Markets. You will also gain firsthand experience of collaborating with different internal stakeholders within the bank and maintain daily client contacts.
As an Equity Research intern, you will be part of our research team in the Markets department, supporting our senior equity analysts in their daily work. The job description is versatile. It comprises, among other things, searching, gathering and formatting information and data, and preparation of research reports and presentations to be presented internally as well as externally to our institutional investor clients. Our mission is to help our customers to make good investment decisions based on extensive analysis of corporates and in-depth market research.
During your 4,5-month internship you get to

- Learn about a variety of roles at SEB and build your network by visiting other departments
- Gain insight and understanding of our product offering, our clients and the banking business in general
We are looking for students (approx. 2nd – 4th year) from various backgrounds who have the potential, passion, and desire to become future talents within SEB. We expect that you have a genuine interest in the financial markets and eagerness to learn.

- Fluency both in English and in Finnish
