Prima PowerSoftware Developer, C#

Prima Power is looking for a Software Developer to join the team of 13 developers in Seinäjoki to design, develop and maintain user interface and process control applications for our large-scale industrial systems. You will work across both backend and frontend layers, contributing directly to the digitalization and modernization of global manufacturing solutions.

As part of our Seinäjoki-based software development team, you’ll be collaborating with experienced professionals developing tomorrow’s digital solutions. Our site offers modern office facilities and access to real industrial simulators to support efficient software development and testing.

You are excited about both maintaining existing solutions and building future-oriented applications. You work independently, proactively, and communicate openly within a dynamic, international environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain HMI (Human-Machine Interface) and process control applications
• Work on both frontend (React, WPF, WinForms) and backend (C#/.NET, SQL) development
• Contribute to business application development supporting future web-based architectures
• Support the development and migration of products towards modern web-native solutions

We hope you have experience and interest in:

• Technologies like C#, WPF, WinForms, React or similar
• Working with relational databases (SQL)
• Applying UI/UX design principles
• Understanding and eagerness to learn DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Communicating fluently in English (spoken and written)
• Taking initiative and collaborating with others in a proactive and self-directed way

Bonus points for:

• A degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology or Automation
• Familiarity with automated testing (unit, integration, or end-to-end)
• Experience with tools like Azure, Git, Jira and modern DevOps workflows
• Interest in or background with industrial software development
• Motivation to grow into architectural responsibilities over time

Practicalities:

This is a full-time and permanent position. You will be employed directly by Prima Power. Start time in the role is as soon as possible, but can be negotiated flexibly. The role will be located in Seinäjoki and we hope you are able to work at the office at least a few days per week as part of a hybrid model. Salary in this position is 3500-4000 €/month (gross) depending on the level of your experience and will be negotiated individually.
