Woodio is a Finnish design-oriented material technology company, established in 2016. Woodio’s proprietary material is the world’s first 100% waterproof solid wood composite that consists of real wood chips. The material innovation and design was recognized in April 2019, when Woodio won the Design Plus powered by ISH award organized by German Design Council. Woodio is here to change the traditional bathroom material norms into more ecological and inspiring. Woodio products have significantly lower carbon footprint, throughout the whole product lifecycle, than current solutions. Recently Metsä Group’s innovation company Metsä Spring Ltd has joined Woodio with an equity investment as a part of a €4 million financing round. For Woodio, this will not only bring financial stability but also a partnership that means significant new resources in R&D and production development. 

Woodio on suomalainen 2016 perustettu design-alan yritys, jonka perustana on materiaali-innovaatio, ekologinen ja vedenkestävä puukomposiitti. Materiaali on patentoitu ja suunniteltu kestämään kovaa kulutusta. Woodion tuotteet suunnitellaan ja valmistetaan Suomessa ja tuotteissa panostetaan vahvasti designiin ja laatuun. Woodion mallisto koostuu design pesualtaista ja täydentyy lähitulevaisuudessa muilla kylpyhuonetuotteilla. Olemme dynaaminen ja kasvava yritys, jonka liiketoiminta on laajenemassa ulkomaille.

Woodio is looking for a Project Sales Manager responsible for direct B2B sales for German markets. In this position you will be in charge of the B2B sales process from prospecting to closing for large construction and hotel projects. Your customers are for example German architect agencies and hotel groups. Based on Woodio’s strategy, the specific focus market area within Germany will be decided together with Woodio’s team when you get started. In your daily work you will contact project owners with the help of commercial project databases and CRM software. The length of the sales processes usually vary between 2-6 months, and involves familiarization in customer projects, making offers and closing the deals. You will work in Woodio’s office in Helsinki and the position requires travelling for customer meetings abroad approximately 1-2 times a month. 

This is a new role and you will get a great opportunity to contribute in Woodio’s business from day one. We are looking for an entrepreneurial-minded person who is excited to work as part of a passionate team to expand Woodio’s innovation internationally. We value experience of the different stages of B2B sales process – you know how to negotiate, how to close a deal and how to cultivate client relationships. To be able to co-operate fluently with German customers we are looking for a candidate with working proficiency in German and English (skills in Finnish are considered as an advantage). As a great plus we consider if you have some previous experience from German markets and/or interior design / bathroom appliance / building businesses. Yet the most important thing is an open-minded attitude and willingness to grow together with Woodio. Woodio has a sales team of five and they are ready to to give you their support and a thorough orientation to the company, products and systems to get you started.

What we require:

  • Experience in B2B sales and a skillset for the different stages of the sales process
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Curious entrepreneurial attitude and ability to work independently
  • Fluent skills in German and in English (written and spoken) 
  • Ability to travel internationally for work

 We consider as an asset:

  • Work experience in German markets and / or relevant industry knowledge (interior design / bathroom appliance / building businesses)
  • Passion towards innovative design and previous experience working with design products
  • Skills in Finnish
