Saldo Finance Oyj, a Finnish pioneer in the financial sector, has been operating in Finland since 2006. Saldo Finance Oyj is one of the first small loan companies in Finland and has maintained its position as a solid financial leader throughout despite numerous changes in the industry. Saldo Finance Oyj mission is to offer fast and automated financing and payment solutions through various channels.

The company is based in Turku, Finland and Helsinki, with headquarters in the High Tech Center in Turku. We employ around 30 financial and technology professionals who together make Saldo Finance Corporation the best player in the industry.

We are a fun, yet ambitious, bunch of IT professionals, looking to strengthen our team with aspiring Software Developers! We are constantly developing our product that enables our customers to enjoy our fully automated loan system. Our development processes are agile and our team uses the scrum framework. Our sprints takes approximately two weeks, starting with sprint planning and follow-ups to sprint retrospective. You can either be a professional in your field or just starting out your career, your attitude and good team spirit is the key.

We hope you have already gained some backend development experience, from work, school or your own projects. Our system is developed with PHP, but experience using other object-oriented programming languages (e.g. Java, C#, etc.) are seen as sufficient know-how. We are using Git for version control. These are also included in our stack, but we don’t expect you to have previous experience from them:  MySQL, MariaDB, Vagrant and Docker. Knowledge of any of these are seen as an advantage. Whether your experience is from school or your own personal projects, please link them to your CV!

You have: 

  • Experience using object-oriented (e.g. PHP, Java, C#, etc.)  
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies 
  • Creative way of thinking and courage to try out new things
  • Good language skills in Finnish and/or English

 We consider as an asset:

  • Work experience in similar tasks
