Alexandria Pankkiiriliike Oyj was founded in 1996 and, over the course of 21 years, we have grown to be one of Finland’s largest investment service companies. Our special field of expertise is our diverse range of investment and saving solutions. The Alexandria Group comprises Alexandria Pankkiiriliike, Alexandria Fund Management Company Ltd and Alexandria Markets, which specialises in structured investment products. We serve our customers nationally at 28 branches with more than 300 investment professionals.

Alexandria is launching a new crowdfunding software this fall and is now looking for a Software Developer to join their team! This crowdfunding software connects investors and Finnish SME companies that need credit and is thus helping the Finnish economy by creating opportunities of growth and investment for companies. The software has been developed by an outside partner and it’s now ready to be handed over for Alexandria. It has been developed with the following stack: React, Node.js., Scala, Docker and AWS. You don’t have to have experience in all of these technologies yet, but willingness to learn and work with them is essential. You can work either in Finnish or English depending on your language preferences.

You can be an experienced developer looking for new challenges or a developer in the beginning of your career as the role will be modified to match your skills. Depending on your experience the following two options are possible:

More experienced
You have an opportunity to take a Lead Developer role and also be the Product Owner for the crowdfunding software. Your main responsibilities in the beginning will include product maintenance and further development. As a Product Owner you’ll be able to influence which direction the product will be developed.

More junior
If you are in the beginning of your career and don’t want to take the ownership of the product yet, it’s also possible to focus only on the product maintenance and development tasks. Later on, if you want to take more responsibility you have an opportunity to do it. If you don’t have previous work experience with programming, we hope that you have done some personal programming projects.

In both cases you will you have a chance to get to know the product first and support will be provided by the team if needed. In this position you’ll only work with internal stakeholders.
